HAPTICA:
FARE is impressively sustainable
This year, HAPTICA underlined that it has established itself as a professional trade fair format. In addition, the date at the beginning of September was ideal to usher in the end-of-year business and to present the FARE® innovations and best-sellers to all market participants. The topic of sustainability played a major role – the demand for environmentally friendly products continues to be enormous, so our new AC golf umbrella ÖkoBrella attracted a lot of attention.
The same applies to our second new product, the mini umbrella FARE® 4Kids. Last, but not least, visitors to the fair were again impressed by our innovative custom-made products.
We proudly present our ÖkoBrella range, now also climate-neutral
The focus of interest was our sustainable, now also climate-neutral ÖkoBrella range, for which we were able to present a new product: The AC golf umbrella, an attractively priced and extra large umbrella, available in six waterSAVE® colours. As with all ÖkoBrella umbrellas, the cover if the new family member is of course made of recycled plastic (rPET).
A frame made entirely of bamboo: The ÖkoBrella success story begins with the use of components from sustainable forestry, plus a cover made of Oeko-Tex polyester. This concept was a true innovation – and limited to regular umbrellas.
From bottle to umbrella: In the new ÖkoBrella mini umbrella, for the first time both the handle and the cover are made of recycled plastics, which were PET bottles in their previous life.
An award-winning innovation: The AOC-Mini umbrella, the ÖkoBrella, largely made of recycled or renewable raw materials, wins the “Sustainable Product” PSI Sustainability Award 2017.
Awarded again: With shaft, tips and top made of bamboo, the AC midsize bamboo umbrella ÖkoBrella made it onto the winner’s podium at the PSI Sustainability Award.
Sustainability – consistently planned and done: With ÖkoBrella Shopping, FARE is launching a mini umbrella that comes with the shopping bag.
Because the future belongs to renewable raw materials, FARE provides an AC regular umbrella and a mini umbrella from the ÖkoBrella series with a real wood handle.
Only logical in fact: The ÖkoBrella Shopping “V2” now comes with a real wood handle and the waterSAVE® cover material. At the same time, the waterSAVE® cover material becomes a distinctive feature of all available ÖkoBrella umbrellas.
Green roof for two: The ÖkoBrella family is now supplemented by a golf umbrella whose diameter is sufficient for two people. Just like all other models, the golf umbrella is also climate-neutral.
Rain protection that’s fun:
FARE® 4Kids
We were able to present a second innovation to the HAPTICA visitors: The mini umbrella FARE® 4Kids. Rain protection that is fun for the kids thanks to six different colourful covers (and handles in the same shade). At the same time, their safety is ensured at all times thanks to a safety slide, the windproof system, rounded and enlarged tips and a rounded top, among other things.
There is no substitute for personal contact
The industry’s gathering in the Bonn World Conference Center showed once again: Digital solutions for talks and meetings are a wonderful addition – but they cannot replace personal exchange. Many small and large conversations came about spontaneously, promising business relationships arose from unplanned encounters, even some unexpected orders developed from initially fleeting interest. We are therefore looking forward to all upcoming industry meetings such as GWW-Trend Herbst, marke[ding] and of course PSI, where FARE will also be represented.
The core competency: Custom-made products
Custom-made products from FARE are exclusive, individual umbrellas that are completely tailored to the customer’s corporate identity with a deep understanding of their brand or product. At HAPTICA, too, visitor’s reactions to the examples on display reflected how much creativity and technology went into every detail.
ALPINA mini umbrella: discreet branding
The umbrella becomes a stylish brand ambassador – printed piping, individual handle, wetlook print and other extras.
NESTLÉ regular umbrella: magical effects
Colormagic is the name of the printing process that makes white elements appear coloured when wet. The wow effect is guaranteed.
Mustang regular umbrella: racy design
Brand-typical red and a full-surface, razor-sharp printed motif on the inner cover – because fans can’t get enough of it, this umbrella has already been reproduced several times.
O2 mini umbrella: setting the tone
here is not a single standard colour on this umbrella. Everything is individually and unmistakably styled in the corporate colours.

Special designs by FARE do not require precise specifications down to the last detail. We deal intensively with the respective wishes and develop a solution for every challenge that has been thought through down to the last detail.
